Anthropic's September 2026 threat report says it removed three accounts linked to Iranian state-aligned propaganda institutions. The company names the Islamic Culture and Communications Organization, a Khorasan Razavi propaganda office and the Bina Cultural Observatory.
According to Anthropic, operators used Claude to prepare campaign plans, personas and institutional documents, and to make state-origin messaging appear independent. The company says attribution relied on account information, institutional references and public-source corroboration, rather than shared opinions alone. It reports some dissemination beyond Claude.
These are Anthropic's findings. Lions of Zion has not independently examined the underlying account telemetry. Removing accounts disrupts access to one service; it does not establish that the broader organizations stopped operating or that audiences were persuaded.
The practical distinction is between evidence of concealed sponsorship and mere repetition. Similar language alone cannot identify a controller. For readers, trace the first attributable source, check whether apparently separate outlets cite each other, and look for authenticated organizational links before calling a campaign coordinated.
