Iran's Revolutionary Guard warned on September 21 that it would change military tactics and targets if the United States escalates. Separately, an unidentified projectile struck a tanker in the Strait of Hormuz and injured two crew members. The warning is confirmed as an Iranian statement; attribution for the tanker strike remained unresolved in the reporting reviewed.

Netanel Shukrun, 36, was shot dead at the Ein Raya spring in the central West Bank while visiting with his son. The IDF's Duvdevan unit arrested the gunman hours later, and Prime Minister Netanyahu ordered security reinforcements to the West Bank while vowing accountability "in Gaza, in Lebanon, and in Judea and Samaria."

Gunman exchanges fire with police outside Ontario synagogue during Yom Kippur; motive under investigation

A 29-year-old man armed with a shotgun exchanged gunfire with police outside the Sons of Jacob Synagogue in Belleville, Ontario, while roughly two dozen worshippers were inside for Yom Kippur. A police officer was seriously wounded and the gunman suffered life-threatening injuries. Authorities have not yet established whether the synagogue or Jewish community was specifically targeted.

Tamar Steinberg, 20, won the women's title at the 2026 Musto iQFOiL World Championships in Weymouth and Portland, England, on September 12, 2026, with Olympic silver medallist Sharon Kantor second and Daniela Peleg fourth. Steinberg led from the first day, adding the world title to the European title she won in May. The results are published by the iQFOiL Class and the Israeli Olympic Committee.
